i've been really blessed to have a wonderful in-laws! both my father and mother in laws are very kind. they owned a farm(rice) but decided to let someone else use it kasi they're not young to tender all the needs in farming.hirap maging magsasaka huh!!lalo pa at niloloko ka lang ng katiwala mo. so in return 'that someone else' is just giving them tax(in the form of saku-sakong palay) every harvest season. they would share and give my family a sack of rice(take note bigas na ha, di na palay!) every anihani've got two sister in law and both are sweet and super bait. ni minsan di ko naranasan na 'asawa' lang ako ng kapatid nila. all the cousins as well are very nice, wala akong maipipintas o masasabi.

tabi-tabi po pero i will make special mention to my sister jeni(bunso), who lives in chicago.grabe, sya nape pressure sa outfits ng mga anak whenever there's an occassion. tulad ngayon birthday ni Jan, super hanap sya ng matching outfit ng dalawang anak ko.di lang birthday outfit ipinadala, isinama na buong outfits for the whole summer. take a look:

i got my proper pay after nearly 7mos of maternity leave, yay!!!
i was feeling rather depressed and shall i dare say suppressed hence i bought these little things to 'pick me up'. and it did actually BUT feeling guilty too because hanipay is not well and i was out shopping! i guess its ok because i bought some thing for him, anyway LOL. (now, i feel better.)

we pray for the quick recovery of all the sick and the dying especially those suffering from LUPUS and CANCER. And to those 700 plus lives who have lost during the Princess of the Star Voyage tragedy during the typhoon last week. I pray that their bodies will be found and if not they will rest in peace. My heart aches for them... Amen.

after school, we decided to go to aldeburgh for a bit of fresh air with some of our friends. first we went to the farm shop,hoping to pick some strawberries ourselves but no luck as strawberries are still green and won't be ready till July. we then go to thorpeness for a boat ride but sadly it was closed already so we just went by the seaside for a little while and have some pictures taken. it was freezing cold and was raining a bit! and to wrap the afternoon, we went to aldeburgh town center for their infamous fish and and chips.

malas talaga LOL..never mind, will definitely be back one sunny day....

woke up quite late and really famished! i didn't fancy anything heavy so rice was eliminated from the choices. instant pancit canton? nah...and then i saw the little pan de sal which was out of date already. hhmmm.....what shall i do with it?

night shift, all five of us were sitting down by half past ten!

*hohum* sigh*

i finished my book and my writing by 01:30 as i got the 'easy end', i only have 6 patients. i started reading newspapers. as i was flicking the pages of Evening Star (local newspaper), i saw the picture of my hijo with his classmate!!!

he's at the far end, wearing just his t-shirt and a cheeky smile.

actually, the school sent me a note saying if i wanted a copy of a picture blah blah...not interested at all as i thought the picture they referred to was the class picture one,Jan was sick that day. i didn't realize it was the 'first day at school' picture.

Anyway, i kept the paper and showed it to Jan the next day and he was really happy seeing their class picture in the paper.

this is going to be my 2nd week back at work after nearly seven months maternity leave. *sigh*
on my first shift (night) back, are we busy or are we busy??? as soon as i enter the ward door, my workmates told me that we will be running one nurse short. SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!!one of our RN needs to go up the maternity ward to help out for the night as they are short, nyehhh!that means i will be looking after 11 patients instead of 6.
our night team consist of 5 members, 3RN's and 2 Health care asst., because we have a four-bedded acute respiratory care unit(ARCU). ARCU is a step-down from ITU/HDU,so ARCU patients are still quite poorly.patients needing non-invasive ventilation are admitted in here, that's the idea anyway. ARCU should be manned by 2RN's at daytime and 1RN and anHCA at night. for the ward, 2RN's and an HCA at nightime.
short of staff, too many work. 2 admissions into ARCU, too many IVantibiotics to give, too many patients won't sleep and constantly ringing their buzzer. aaarrrggghhh...by the end of the shift (9-8), i thought my legs are going to give way! sakit sakit....nonetheless, i survived. yay!!!
different story on my second night, full staff plus a third year student who used to be our HCA. the word delegation just sprang into my mind LOL...i had 2hours sleep break..
third night, so tired as i only had an hour 20mins sleep. my hija sleeps like a chicken at daytime but sleeps through the night though, has been since she was 2mos old.
my workmates were really shock when i told them i had very little sleep. but i said it'll be alright as it was my last night. they told me to go for my break at midnight and do not come back till they get me.i was a bit shy at first but i gave in in the end as i was tired. guess what time they woke me up. 5 AM!!!!! aww, bless them....

i called mum yesterday while she's at her sari sari sore. the usual ' ano balita' thing! so kwento, kwento, kwento but after 45minutes naubusan na kami ng kwento sabi ko sa kanya magbababay na ako. here's the last few lines before we both put the phone down:

ako: o sya mader babay na at maliligo pa ako habang tulog ang bruhilda.

siya: o cge anak, ingat kayo dyan palagi ha. sabihin mo kay joel mag vitamins.

ako: ok, kumusta nalang kay papa.

siya: i-kiss mo ako sa dalawang bata ha.. i love you anak.

ako: oo, i love you mader.

awww, muntik na akong maluha. mabibilang sa isang kamay ko kung ilang beses ko lang nasabihan si mader na mahal ko sya.unang-una nuong katatapos kong mag cursillo, super iyak ako nuon sabay tulo sipon sabay sabing " (waaahhhh) mommy, sorry salahat ng kasalanan ko sa inyo ni papa ska i love you very much". paulit ulit kong sinasabi yun.

ang gaan ng feeling ko kasi gusto ko lagi sinasabi kay mader na mahal ko sya kaso nauunahan ako ng hiya.hindi kasi kami lumaki ng mga kapatid ko na nag aaylabyuhan sa isa't isa. pipilitin ko na gawing habit yun.

me and my friends are supposed to be going to london today to watch the premiere of the movie 'caregiver'. but guess what, tickets are sold out!!!!! the tickets are unbelievably cheap, only a fiver!!!! but my kumare told me that when she inquired about the tickets and the venue to a FILIPINO ticket dealer, guess what again, the ticket price tripled!!!

sorry about the exaggerated use of exclamation point here, i'm just disappointed kasi wala na tickets and the ugali of our kababayan. pinoy talaga tsk tsk tsk
never mind, maybe we'll just watch a west end show...will keep you posted

half term is nearly over, so my hanipay decided to take us out to a theme park. we went to chessington world of adeventures in surrey last friday. Jan, ate Yvonne and of course hanipay enjoyed the day.i'm quite happy pushing little Natasha in her buggy and being the photographer as well.what a fun day!

it was a really fun and memorable day for both Jan and Yvonne (cguro pati kay hanipay), they said they really enjoyed themselves.

just an update on Natasha's...still has cough(mild) and colds, no bath for two days just "top and tail" but she had her bath today. after her brunch(woke up quite late hehe), gave her vitamins and calpol and a quick bath.she's fast asleep at the moment, hence, i'm blogging!
we weren't able to attend a birthday party as tasha's not well, i hope her sipon will go away na. it's really hard for babies to get sick as they cannot say what aches and what they want. maybe she caught it from her kuya who suffers from hay fever naman.hay, worry, worry ,worry!!!

what a dull day!!! wet, windy, miserable saturday. we wanted to host bbq cum picnic but the weather doesn't permit us.bloody weather!!! that's the favorite subject of conversation here in england.when the sun is smiling, lovely day na! most of the youngsters are walking half naked, there are people sunbathing at the back garden in two piece, men driving with their shirt off. one of my honeypie's friend at work is so eager to go to town center or go by the beach, i'm sure you all know why....'sightseeing' lol.
but when its bitterly cold like today, most people stay indoor by the fireplace. i already turned off our heating system for like 2-3 weeks now but i turn it on again kc malamig and my hija is still not well.

i learned that some of the cast of the movie caregiver will be in london on 6th june for the world premiere. and i got excited, not that i'm a sharonian but the idea of watching a philippine(tagalog) movie in london!!! but first, i have to ask my friends if they will be able to join me, the more the merrier right? (actually, can't go to london on my own lol) we will see.....

not well

natasha's not so well today, she still coos and smiles and laugh as children do or should i say babies. when i pick her up from her crib this morning she has runny nose.i blame myself because yesterday when we fetched Jan from school, tasha had a summer outfit and it got very chilly as the sun sets off (we had a de tour at a friend for dinner hence ginabi kami). anyway, tasha had breakfast and i gave her a quick bath which never fails to put her to sleep. when she woke up, i thought 'she's a bit hot to touch' so i checked her temp and it was 38.5C!!! i gave her calpol(paracetamol), gave her milk and changed her nappy and lots and lots of cuddle.
so i decided to ask our good friend to pick up Jan at school because i don't want to brave the chilly wind outside with tasha especially now she started to cough. poor thing!!!

i dont know what's wrong with me today.i guess, i must've slept at the wrong side of the bed.its my honeypie's day off today,he is tidying up the garden because it's a mess and i should be cleaning the house but i suddenly felt like not doing anything.so after breakfast,went upstairs watched a nonsense movie-had a shower-went to our GP(general practitioner aka doctor)as tasha(my hija) had her immunization-home,had ice cream-upstairs again.oh yes, our bedroom is my fave area in the house not because its super ganda but because our tv and computerare in here.
being the grumpy bitch that i am today for no apparent reason i'm not talking to my honeypie, feel ko lang.

secret revealed dumating na digicam na pinkahihintay ko.buti nlang ako yung nasa pinto pag abot ng courier kung nagkataon lagot. secret kasi yun! i thought time to upgrade kasi naman yun digital camera kong gamit 5yrs old na saka free lang yun nung bumili ako ng computer, ska 1.5" lang ang lcd.and besides naibagsak ko na yung old digicam ko kaya pikit mata kong bumili ng bago, ssshhhh di alam ni honeypie yun!!!di naman kamahalan, ipost ko dito kung anong make at model sa susunod.
pagkagaling namin sa town center, upstairs agad and drama ko iniwan ko honeypie ko sa ibaba.open agad ng box medyo lumulukso pa puso ko sa excitement eh tuwing papanhik si honeypie nagugulat ako itatago kong bigla yun camera sa ilalim ng unan ska ako tatawa ng tatawa.nakahalata si kulokoy, may itinatanong sa akin pero umiikot ang mata.sa isip isip ko nakakahalata na kya umamin na ako kasi malalaman din naman nya.buti nalang di nagalit!!
